If you haven’t heard of Eve Dubois yet, or how Popeye’s Chicken capitalized on a Family Feud answer for the ages — you’re in for a treat.

First off, let’s talk about how we got here.

Canada recently launched its own version of Family Feud, hosted by Gerry Dee. The program launched on CBC on December 19th, 2019, and it’s off to a great start.

On an episode last week, no team had reached 300 points by the end of the game which means one thing on the Feud:

Sudden Death.

Gerry called a member from each team, Logan and Eve, to battle it out over one final question:

“Name Popeye’s favorite food”

Here’s how that played out.

Dubois lost her team the chance to win $10,000 because she mixed up Popeye the Sailor Man and Popeye’s Chicken. Pretty funny.

It didn’t take long, however, for Popeye’s Chicken to get involved.

The company, who has been in the news a ton lately thanks to the high demand and low supply of their new chicken sandwiches, took action quickly.

While the video was still gaining clicks and views around the web, they tweeted this:

A great, simple, quick response from one of the best brands on social media. Well done.

Plus, we all have an amazing new GIF we get to use.
